The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (PA-DCNR) awarded ASÍ a design-build project to engineer, permit, and construct a Rest Station in the Lick Hollow Picnic Area, Forbes State Park, Hopwood, PA. The Station features four bathrooms, reinforced masonry, ADA compliant parking spaces, solar panels, cedar roof and lap siding, and reinforced concrete protecting the vaults. This is an example of a green building that uses Sweet Smelling Technology.
ASÍ has been awarded contracts by the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service to support logistics and operations during fire fighting responses in the Intermountain Region 2 and 4. The support includes providing personnel that operate on-premises a mobile office with telecommunication capabilities, including: 40 internal concurrent host accesses; 1.5Meg/s Download speed, 512kbps Upload speed using satellites. In June and July of 2012, ASI supported with clerical support units the fire suppression efforts of multiple agencies at the Colorado Fires.
ASÍ’s personnel maintain New Jersey Site Remediation Professional Licenses which allows ASÍ to act as an independent remediation supervisor with authority to issue Response Action Outcomes (RAOs, formerly No-Further-Action Letters). ASÍ issued an RAO for an apartment complex remediation in Middlesex, NJ. Currently ASÍ is serving as a licensed site remediation professional for three remediation projects in Northern Jersey: A multiyear, multimillion dollar project using reverse ground modification techniques; a recycled industrial site; and a small project for a local school. These projects illustrate ASÍ’s ability to participate in a variety of project sizes, the professionalism and integrity required to be a representative of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
ASÍ has developed Safety and Accident Prevention Plans, Hazardous Waste Management Plans, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-know protocols, Risk Management for OSHA violations and Risk Mitigation and Response. Two examples of these projects are recently completed fact finding services for a medium size construction company and several environmental plan updates for the National Emergency Training Center, a Federal Emergency Management Agency training center.
Several projects that range from grounds maintenance and snow removal, to repair and replacement of equipment have been awarded to ASÍ in support of the Army Reserve Centers throughout Pennsylvania. As part of our services, ASÍ has offered designs that improve the storm water management, vegetation control and traffic flow at these centers.
In 2011, ASI led a Definitional Mission to Colombia and Mexico to identify and evaluate coal bed and coal mine methane for beneficial use. This is an example of the type of innovative, unconventional projects ASI undertakes. Methane from coal is cleaner, easier to retrieve, of higher yield than shale or rock gases, and a resource that is considered the next energy emerging market.
